Diversity

Okay, so it has been a while since I have posted, like say a month. There is not too much excitement in my life to post about. Don't get me wrong, I have 3 beautiful kiddos that are always on the go but that might be boring to some. I have to admit that I am in awe of the wonderful and diverseness of God's creation in my 3 children. As I reflect on the past month, their diversity stands out to me.

Dylan is my oldest. He is definitely a mama's boy and has a personality just like his Mom, which can cause us to hit heads a lot. But he has the most sweetest and sensitive spirit and heart. He wears his emotions on his sleeve and has begun to think about praying for things when he sees a situation which just warms my heart. He loves to help people. He even helps a teacher associate that takes care of a boy in a wheelchair with cerebral palsy without being asked. This boy doesn't seem different to Dylan. He just has different needs than the rest of his classmates. Dylan loves to help me around the house except for folding clothes. He hates to fold clothes but does it when asked. He just loves to clean up and organize things for me. Dylan is also my musician. He is always singing songs to the Lord or wants to listen to music. And he will turn anything from the legs of our toy piano into a guitar or sand bucktes and shovels into drums.

Then we have Caidin. Caidin looks just like his Daddy in every aspect but has my temper and stubborness. His laugh is contagious (you start laughing when he is laughing because it is such a cute laugh) but is my shy one and likes to be quiet about his faith although he said we should pray for Sissy when she was sick. He loves to be outdoors just like his daddy. He is the "jock" in the family. He loves anything that has to do with a ball from soccer to basketball to football to baseball to golf. He may even be the next Tiger Woods. He is a natural at all of these and has great form for a 4-year-old. He is finally old enough to play spring soccer this year and is so excited. Then we will move onto baseball for him. This is just a start to a future in sports and I can't wait.

Then we round it all out with our only girl, Payton. She is such a character and has such a personality. She wakes up happy and goes to bed happy though she has to cry at least 20 minutes before dropping off into lala land. She is comforted by Jesus Loves You being sung to her in the middle of the night if something wakes her up. I have really been enjoying her at her age now. She is such a fast learner and takes everything in. She has watched her brothers put their clothes in the hamper when they change and now she does it once I get her dressed. If she takes her socks off, she will bring them to the hamper. She will also throw her own diaper away. I have also caught her lying down where I usually change her diaper when she has popped. She says a ton of words for her age like mama, Dad or dada, brober for brother, duck, quack, belly, dog, car, block, book, bye bye with waving, dance and probably more than I have forgotten. She has her nitch though. She loves all the new electronics like cell phones and IPods. She may be one expensive girl if we let her. God has sure filled her with a ton of joy, and she always has us laughing. If I am on the floor, she will back up to me with a book to sit in my lap and have me read. She loves to dance. She started swaying to music all by herself. Now if she hears music on the TV or radio, she will dance by swaying back and forth or boucing or even turning little circles. She is such a joy to have and the perfect final addition to our family. I am excited to see what she likes and becomes good at.

Well, I guess that about sums up the diversities of my kids. I love every single one of them and share something special with each of them. I am so excited to see what the future holds for our family as they all grow and develop.

Thanks for taking this journey with me. Have a great weekend.
