My wonderful husband went out of his way this Valentine's Day to make it special. He had a dozen red roses and chocolate sent to me via UPS on Friday evening, a day that I wasn't feeling good. Needless to say, it really cheered me up and continues to every time I see them on my counter. As if that wasn't enough, he also expressed his love me through the card that accompanied the flowers along with a bigger Valentine's card that he left on my desk for me to find after he had left for work today. It reassured me of his love for me in a busy time in our lives with 3 kids and our work life. He continues to amaze me with his devotion and love for me. Sometimes I wonder how he can love me the way he does, but I have to just accept it just like our Heavenly Father's love for us. To think that He sent His only Son to die for me while I was still a sinner blows me away. My mind cannot comprehend the depth of His love.
As we continue to be parents, we are learning how important it is that we take time away from the kids to nuture our relationship for each other. Life is so busy, we need to take those moments to reconnect. Brad did that this weekend with the thoughtfulness of his gifts and his words.
I love him more than words can say.
